Our JTECH Waiter Call system is available in various panel sizes to suit the specific needs of your restaurant. The system emits a low, discreet, and silent vibration, specially designed to handle the demands of busy kitchens and restaurant environments.
The system allows wait staff to focus more on delivering exceptional guest experiences, which in turn increases upselling opportunities. With direct messaging to food runners and wait staff, the system ensures that food reaches guests quickly and efficiently. This not only keeps food fresh and hot, eliminating the need for reheating, but also boosts staff productivity, reduces unnecessary delays, and improves customer satisfaction.
With the JTECH Waiter Call system, you can also reduce labor costs by enabling staff to perform more tasks in less time. It ensures that wait staff remain efficient and provide the best possible customer service. The system facilitates quick responses to issues and questions in the kitchen, helping maintain smooth operations and happy guests.
Overall, our waiter call system will transform your restaurant’s operations, enhancing efficiency, increasing revenue, and elevating customer satisfaction. It allows you to focus on meeting your guests' needs while streamlining your workflows and creating a more professional environment.
A waiter call system streamlines service and workflow, whether your restaurant uses traditional waiter service or food runners.
Why should we use a pager for waiters?
By using a waiter call system, chefs can immediately alert the right waiter when the food for one of their tables is ready. The waiter is notified via a personal pager, ensuring that meals are delivered quickly and at the correct temperature. This solution also eliminates the wasted time for those walking back and forth from the kitchen to check their orders.
I’ve used waiter call pagers before, but the clip keeps breaking:
This won’t happen with our robust pagers from JTECH. They feature a metal clip that is strong and durable. The idea came from a tool manufacturer who uses the metal clip in their tools, such as tape measures, etc.
Are there alternatives to the pager the waiter wears on their belt?
Yes, another waiter call system is our button call system, consisting of buttons (or a 6-button display from the kitchen) and a wrist pager, which the service staff wear on their wrist. A sleek solution.
Can a waiter system integrate with our POS or Kitchen Display System?
Yes, it can. We are always open to integrations and already work with many POS software providers such as Micros / Oracle, Vectron, Schultes, TCPos, Untill, Onlinepos, Gastronovi, Schultes, TiPos, Enfore, PC-Cash, Untill, just to name a few.
We use an old-fashioned bell or let the chefs shout; why should we use a waiter call pager?
First and foremost, shouting or the constant ringing of a bell can irritate guests. Often, they wonder if the bell sound or the constant shouting means the waiter hasn’t picked up the food and if it’s now sitting and getting cold. Another reason is that you don’t want the guest to get their food cold, which could lead to it being sent back to the kitchen for reheating or a new plate of food. Many restaurants focus on getting the order into the kitchen quickly using PDAs, etc., but forget that it is just as important (or perhaps more so) to get the food out to the guest as quickly as possible. Restaurant guests want their food quickly, fresh, and hot.
What would be my return on investment?
Alongside the increased service level and satisfied customers (who could potentially be returning customers), the return on investment is the extra time waiters have, which can be used to sell more. Only when the waiter spends time with the guest is there an opportunity to sell more. Not when they are in the kitchen or at the bar waiting for food or drinks to be ready! Think about it: could the waiter just sell another dessert, another cup of coffee, one more beer or wine, etc.? The investment pays for itself in no time. Contact us for an investment calculation, and we will be happy to assist you. The system can also be rented or leased.
Can these pagers be used for other purposes than for waiters?
Yes, it is essentially a personal call system and can be used for many purposes, such as a manager call. When pagers or buzzers are called, staff can be contacted quickly and discreetly. This can be in any business situation or in production, for example, where staff need to call a truck driver, warehouse worker, forklift operator, etc. This is cost-effective in many situations and saves businesses a lot of wasted time. It could be in retail situations where every fitting room is equipped with a button so customers can call staff for assistance without having to run out to find someone. It can be used for staff calls in hospitals or clinics, so help can be quickly and efficiently called to a room. It could be in hotels where service is required in meeting rooms or a manager is needed at the reception, etc. The possibilities are endless.
What message does the staff receive when called?
This depends on the system being used. The basics are the option of vibration, beep, and flash, but it can also be a simple flashing number on the pager. The more sophisticated calls can be made through our SmartCall System, which can display a message on the pager. This could be a predefined message or entered individually by the sender. The SmartCall Pager System can also be combined with software to control wait times and provide an overview and data.
Cleaning:
Cleaning is done with a slightly dampened cloth, which can also be used to clean pagers, charging stations, and keyboards. Use warm water and a little dish soap to dampen the cloth. Parts of the waiter call/pager system must not be exposed to liquid.
Alternatively, disinfecting wipes with isopropyl alcohol can be used, or you can apply isopropyl alcohol to a dampened cloth and wipe the buzzer and call panel.
Do pagers use batteries?
Yes, they do, but they use rechargeable batteries, so some need to be charged in a charger, and others can be charged individually. Batteries typically last 2-3 years, and charging is smart charging, meaning they charge in 4 hours and won’t overcharge. Naturally, a fully charged battery lasts for a full working shift.
